My tour of Bethel pizza places continues. There are a lot of choices in this town. This one is really good. A Greek type pie, saucy with decent thickness to the crust. Bacon and pineapple was delicious. Only two booths inside, so take out is the way to go. My list is as follows for Bethel. Capris is still the best, followed by Bethel Pizza House, Famous and Salz.

Sauce for garlic knots was Rancid! Absolutely awful smell. As it if was months old. I will never go back here and I'm posting this review so that nobody else loses their hard earned money in this place!
Antipasto salad with chicken was basic for a pizza joint but I didn't finish it because I was afraid of getting food poising. I had already felt sick from one garlic knot and the sour sauce. I didn't notice it at first because the garlic masked the rancid Stench.
It's been 12 hours since I ate there and my stomach is still a mess. -

Gave up on Pizza House many years back as we had many strong pizza options in town. Now we have fewer mouths to feed and they're very strong on small take out meals. Sandwiches are large and well stuffed. Small pizzas are still delicious and substantial for the price. Great pricing, small shop with friendly staff, very strong with order management and food with properly cooked every time. Pizzas run a little greasy some times, but mostly owing to the generous toppings in most cases. Easy parking for pickup, delivery available, LONG HOURs and great prices make them great for small meals or late night snacks.

I'm from NYC, land of good pizza, but am always a big fan of Bethel Pizza House when visiting family in Redding. The crust is chewy and crisp and the pie is saucy, perfect for anyone who likes a classic tomato.

This place is a TREAT. The pizza is different than what you may be expecting but it is delicious. The crust is crispy yet dense. It's hard to explain and I'm not sure if it's been prebaked before the toppings or if it's a pan type of crust. What I will tell you is that crust with a brown bit of cheese is HEAVEN. The place is always packed when we go to pick it up. The last time we called for an order the phone just rang and rang so we had to try another place. Other than that one issue it's been good. Looking forward to trying their Gyros.
